​UTSA Pom Squad

The UTSA Pom Squad consists of up to 20 highly trained and talented dancers, utilizing their skill and technique in jazz, pom, and hip hop dances. The Pom Squad performs and cheers at all home football games, men's and women's basketball games, and various university events. The team competes bi-annually at NDA nationals in Daytona, where they have received 1st Place in the Challenge Cup and 8th Place overall in their division. The UTSA dance team ladies are not only teammates, but sisters. They love cheering on the wonderful Roadrunners and spreading their spirit throughout the UTSA Campus!

During Football season, the Pom Squad practices 3-4 times a week and cheers at Friday pep rallies in the Paseo. On game days, the ladies cheer on the Roadrunners at tailgates and participate in pre-game on the field.

During Basketball season, the Pom Squad performs Time-Outs and Half-Times consisting of fun, energetic pom, jazz, military, and hip hop routines. They participate in Media Games and create a great atmosphere for the men and women of the Roadrunner basketball family.

They travel to different cities and/or states to cheer on the Runners at playoff tournament games and make several appearances throughout San Antonio. Whether it is on Good Morning SA or showing the blue and orange on the Riverwalk, they do it all!

These wonderful, hardworking, and talented women have a very tough schedule, but love it to the fullest. They hope to see you on the field or the court.
